Devotes three chapters to summarizing the basin’s geology, hydrology, and sustainability.

Book Four

The Nile in the Riparian Countries

Three chapters are devoted to discussing how each riparian country’s geopolitics, culture, economy, and way of life is shaped by the Nile River.

Book Five

The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD)

Covers eight sections detailing the program lifecycle including (a) various feasibility studies performed on the Nile River, (b)  program initiation and stakeholder analysis, (c) program scope managment, (d) GERD schedule and cost managment, (e) quality and risk managment for the dam, (f) procurement and contract related items, (g) monitoring and evaluatioin of the program, and (h) the complexity of integrating various parts of the projects

Book Six

My 2022 Expedition – The Nile from
Sources to Mouth

Part VI – ‘My 2022 Expedition – The Nile From Sources to Mouth’ consists of three chapters. Chapter 23 covers my trip along the Blue Nile in Ethiopia, namely Gish Abbay (the source), Lake Tana, and the GERD. Chapter 24 covers Jinja, Uganda, the source for the White Nile, and Khartoum, the confluence of the Blue and White Niles. The last chapter (Chapter 25) covers my Egypt trip that took me to Cairo, Alexandria, and the Rasheed mouth of the Nile River where the Nile empties into the Mediterranean Sea.

About the Author:
Dereje Befekadu Tessema, Ph.D., PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe-SPC, is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University School of Continuing Education and co-founder for Center for International Development and Policy (CfIDP), a research think thank affilated with Florida University Southeast. He has published two books in leadership, management, and presidential campaign sciences as part of his writing seres ”How this Happened”. He has also authored several papers at various conferences and forums. Dereje is a co-founder of Teach and Serve for Africa (TASFA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and transferring knowledge to the African continent. In the last three years, Dereje has been part of a voluntary team under TASFA that provided free training in project management, leadershimental Engineering, Germany, where the equitable use of the Nile River waters and Ethiopia’s role in the basin was the subject of many discussions among students from the Nile Riparian countries.
